Prospective homebuyers in Babcock Ranch now have a model home to view, as the first furnished model just opened in the new, sustainable town. Located in the town’s very first neighborhood, Lake Timber, the home by Stock Development is the first of five lakefront model homes planned by Stock at Babcock Ranch.
Three more Stock models are expected to open within the next few weeks, while the fifth model home should be finished later this summer. The Sebring model features more than 2,600 square feet of living space with a great room, formal dining room, three-bedrooms, 3.5-baths, a kitchen with an island and a two-car garage. A swimming pool and paved deck overlook lake views.
Future models include the 3,200 square foot Delray with a study, three-bedrooms, 3.5-baths, a bonus room and generous outdoor living space, including dual covered porches, priced starting in the mid $500,000s. As well, the upcoming Bartow model is priced starting in the upper $400,000s, with 2,800 square feet, including a swimming pool and outdoor living space, along with a great room and island kitchen.
All of the floor plans are designs by Looney Ricks Kiss Architects, applying green construction standards and an emphasis on inviting a true sense of community and neighborhood at every turn. Lake Timber is being designed with plenty of lakefront green space, as well as access to a fishing dock and observation deck, plus a community garden. A neighborhood center will eventually offer a lakefront swimming pool, playground and barbecue area to residents.
The planned town will also soon supply a lakefront restaurant and a dedication is planned soon for Founder’s Square, as well as celebration marking the Downtown District. Under construction by Kitson & Partners, the eco-centric town is being marketed as the world’s first solar powered town, located only about 20 minutes to the east of Fort Myers.
